A semi-active average person takes 7,500 steps each day. Sounds like a lot, but thereβs more moving to do to get the heart rate up, lose weight, and stay in shape. While 7,500 is a decent average, it only means that many of us are taking far fewer steps daily. Sedentary lifestyles lead to less walking, so if youβre in front of a computer desk all day, make it your mission to get marching. Walk during your lunch break, take the stairs, and park further away from entrances. Every step counts, so do your best to put one foot in front of the other.
