Why Working Out First Thing Has Its Perks

Not only is getting up bright-eyed and bushy-tailed a jumpstart to your day, but it leaves room for AM exercise to benefit your body.

If you are not yet a morning person, let alone one who is keen on working out first thing, these three reasons will make you change your tune and start shaking it when the sun comes up.

When you get your blood flowing and your body moving, you will quickly go from sleepy to stimulated. Even if you did not think you would be able to put your socks and sneakers on without a struggle, once you start your exercise routine, you will snap out of sleep mode and get into the go-getter groove. This energy will last well beyond your workout, leading you into a day that is upbeat and useful. Your mind, body, and spirit will be at full speed, and you can tackle the day’s ups, downs, and in-betweens…no dragging your feet or losing your mojo.

No Excuses Or Interruptions

Wake up before everyone else does and get your workout in at your own pace. You won’t be able to find a reason to skip your sweat session when there is nothing holding you back or getting in your way. This is your personal time to take care of yourself. You deserve to treat yourself well, so do not let life’s unpredictability or uncertainties swoop in and mess with your schedule. Take control before the chaos cuts into your “me” time.

Over And Done With

When you do your workout first thing, you will not have to think about it for the rest of the day. Those who do not do theirs early have the “workout woes” weighing heavily on their minds all day. Also, work could run late, you can get too tired or lazy, or you would simply rather go home, eat dinner, and go to bed. Another exercise-less day down the tubes, and it can be difficult to get back into the habit when days become weeks without a workout.
